This Weekend: Still have the shower chances with us...looking like Saturday has a better chance.  But a cool and windy Saturday/Sunday.

Well today is more like it! Hello Fall! Such a great feel outside today....low humidity, seasonably warm and just a bit breezy.  I am in my fall colors today! Black shirt, red/orange top and gold long sweater...and Franco Sarto black wedges with tan stitching.  Of course I have on a Fall 2011 Essie nail polish too...very structured!

One More Day!

Today is the last day that this low pressure system stays strong, effecting us. So only one more day of this cloudy/rainy/muggy weather.

The Countdown Begins

Its still going to be a muggy one.  Today is the last day of this somewhat dry string we've had in between these rainy/damp days.  Wednesday and Thursday look to be damp and rainy...but the weekend is going to be a fall delight! Sun and cloud mix with temps in the upper 60s.  The countdown begins! Today, tomorrow, Thursday...then FALL FEEL FRIDAYYYY!

Summer Is That You?

Summer is that you?  We are actually going to see the sun today...and warm up into the 80s! ...And we stay dry throughout the entire day!  I will be wearing shorts today in honor of summer...black shorts and these cute Adrienne Vittadini flats I just got yesterday for $40....half price!! steal.

Today's Food Holiday
Its National Pancake Day!!! I have the ALL TIME GREATEST recipe ever...I would never think that this could ever happen! But don't these look AMAZING?!?

Cake Batter Pancakes:

makes about 12 pancakes

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

2/3 cup yellow cake mix

1 tablespoon sugar

3/4 teaspoon baking powder

pinch of salt

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-2 cups milk

assorted sprinkles

If you have any outdoor activities today, such as sporting events (like I do)....I'm saying they are a go! Looks like the showers will hold off...now Sunday, looking like showers will be more wide spread.

First Day Of Fall

Today: Cloudy with showers. High temp of 76 and low temp of 66.
This Weekend: Cloudy with drizzle/mist and shower chances.

We are all under a flood watch through tomorrow evening.  Expecting heavy rain this afternoon into Saturday morning.  Total amount of rain could be as high as 4 inches in localized areas, but generally 1-3 inches.  Now with flooding...the worst doesn't occur until after the rain is over.  This weekend, Saturday we'll have scattered showers and by Sunday still a chance, and we'll still have that misty humid feel outside continued into next week.  There is light to the end of this cloudy/rainy tunnel. We will see the sun again on Thursday...and fingers crossed for a nice weekend..next week (yes, already preparing for next weekend)

But it's Friday and the FIRST DAY OF FALL!  Can you think of a better combo?!? Okay maybe a better combo is oatmeal with pumpkin puree or greek yogurt with pumpkin puree! That's more like it! Loving the transition to fall minus the rain! Time to turn on the oven once again...and bake some pumpkin goodness!

Well the next 4 days...and just a continuation of this grey/damp weather.  But the weekend is looking like more of the same!  Friday is more steadier rain, Saturday is on and off showers, and Sunday is spotty showers.

Pack Away The Sunglasses

We are in an unsettled pattern until...well for the foreseeable future of the next 7 days.  But it is looking like we will see the sun again for the weekend! So lets cross our fingers for that! So it is looking like you can pack away the sunglasses for now and get out the umbrellas and rainboots.

Transition Treats

Looks like we are going to be in an unsettled pattern for the rest of the week...as of now lasting into Saturday.  I will keep you posted, since the weekend is ohhh soo important. But def count on this week being a mix of sun, clouds, and drizzles.

So with summer is still hanging on...officially over on Friday the 23rd. There is still time for no bake desserts.  These are my transition treats.  They require no baking, but a fun way to bring in the new fall season :) Entenmann's watch out!!

What's Normal?

Today: Mostly sunny.  High temp of 70. Waking up this morning temperature at 50...and then waking up tomorrow morning low temp of 60...so it's about to get muggy on Tuesday.

Now that we are officially in full swing of "fall" (according to meteorological standards), you're probably asking "what's normal for this time of year?"
Well here's the answer...in September the high temp should be 75 and the low temp should 60, so on the mild side....perfect for cute throw sweaters and jackets!  Rainfall totals for the month should be 4.23". And the National Weather Service has issued a normal prediction both temps and precip for September....but above average temps for the fall (Sept, Oct, Nov).

Hold on Summer!

Today: Sunshine and cool temps! High of 67 and low of 51.

I know it feels like fall out there..but I'm still trying to get all my easy/no bake summer recipes in! So hold on summer, don't go just yet.  And also temps will go back into the 70s starting tomorrow and possibly maxing out in the mid 70s in the middle of the week.

But here's a simple one for you!
1. Pop popcorn (and take out all the kernels when done)
2. Melt 6 ounces of white chocolate and the mix in 4 tsp. of cake mix
3. Pour chocolate/mix, m&ms and sprinkles over the popcorn
4. Lay it out on wax paper over baking sheet
AND THAT'S IT! Birthday Cake Popcorn!

Fall Like Feel

This Weekend: A fall like feel!

The first day of fall isn't until September 23rd!...That means there is still a week left in summer. But today and this weekend...slip on your uggs (only for relaxed look), instead of the flip flops and do some fall activities!

Crazy For Chocolate

Today's Food Holiday:
Its international chocolate day! Need I say more...I'm crazy for chocolate!!!! So in honor of this holiday I've decided to bake a special brownie...with all LEGAL ingredients.  I decided to stick with the milk chocolate family.  So I took a milk chocolate brownie mix, added milk chocolate chips, iced it with milk chocolate icing, and topped it off with mini milk chocolate m&ms! Hope my club enjoys them :)
Probably going to starbucks to get a mocha frappe? americano with a pump of mocha? salted hot chocolate?!
P.S...."Eating chocolate makes you happy because it contains phenylephylamine - the same hormone the brain triggers when you fall in love" Lots of happy people today!! :) :) :)

Fall Like Feel

This cold front that passes through on Wednesday will knock our temperatures down to those crisp fall temps. Can not wait for the Fall like Feel!

So calling all sunglasses and flip flops. Yes, you can dust them off and use them today.  Only catch is...make sure you paint your toes...since they've been hidden for the past 4 days! The hottest color right now is the denim look, in honor of Fashion Night Out. It is okay to grab the dark blue.

Okay, seriously all this rain needs to stop! Rain, rain go away...come again NEVER! I will tell you that today is the last day where we will be completely socked in with the clouds. Makes us appreciate Fridays even more, right?! :)

This Tropical Depression Lee....is slowly creeping up towards the north east. So we'll see rainy and cloudy conditions until Friday! Holy low pressure Lee!!! I need to get my morning run in...but looking at this radar of never ending green (rain) i don't think that's even an option. Well time to wear your cute rain boots! Even though a cute dress would have been perfect to start off the new school year. Oh well, at least you know its gonna rain so you can plan accordingly instead of getting caught in it! :)

Tropical Storm Katia is out in the Atlantic right now, not forecasted to impact us at all (...yet). But I will continue to track it. Every forecast run she moves westward towards land, uh oh. If she follows a westward then northerly track, will see some effects right in time for next weekend/early next week.

What a WEEKEND! Irene ended a little earlier than expected, but she still left us with a TON of rain...which lead to major flooding! Very devastating to see.  However, I think the media did a very good job handling the storm :) (kudos to them) lol

Is it ironic that today is the day wine season begins?! Since today is the first day of the semester! So enjoy a guilt free glass tonight!

First Day Of The Semester Outfit:
Wearing a super cute $15 silky cap sleeve top and possibly jeans (or shorts) but def tan heels. Of course my fabulous buy....$600 Coach bag for only $150. shhh!

...Okay so I did not follow this exactly...I wore gray shorts and did not rock the heels (short shorts + heels = trying to hard) and white flowery flip flops.
