Today: Sunny! Temperature stays in the 80s..87 degrees for the high and another cool night down to 69.

My Birthday (Tomorrow): A few more clouds to make it partly sunny. The humidity begins to increase (not too uncomfortable though). Temperature back at 90 degrees..and we'll have a mild night of 73 degrees.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! 1 more day :)

Today: Mostly sunny, increasing clouds for the evening bringing a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. High temp of 90 and low cools down to 68.

Looks like we have another high pressure ridge building in for Friday (this "ridge" is what gives us the hot temperatures as well as the oppressive humidity..like last week) So potential heat wave!?

So p.s...2 days till the big day.

It's national coffee milkshake day!  AND 2 more days till my birthday...so how fitting was it that I got a hungry-girl email today on how to make a birthday cake milkshake!? LIKE O-M-G AMAZING. Dinner??

Recap: Yesterday Newark hit 108 for the high shattering two records with that...the record high for that day and the hottest day EVER in Newark.  It also set the new record for hottest record low temp of 86 degrees.

Today: VERY HOT! Sun is expecting to sunshine, but again covered by a layer of haze! High temp 103...yes one-zero-three! Triple digits baby!  We start out this morning 90 degrees at 8am..oh boy are we going to heat up once the sun is out there for a while...also VERY HUMID!

Going into the city today to experience this heat first hand of course! I bake some cookies in the subway for you!

Just plain and simple...HOT! Its 93 degrees at 11am feeling like 104 degrees ALREADY and we still have about 4-5 more hours to heat up! We are now experiencing that sweltering heat that the middle part of the country had to go through for the past couple of weeks. So VERY humid out there! But we can enjoy the sunshine if you don't mind it being covered by a layer of haze...

Survive at Five

Well its day numero five to this 90 degree heat. Heat wave well underway and will try to continue to at least sunday.
Today: Sunshine, clouds after sunset. High temp of 92 and low of 74. Humidity still high, but not at its peek...Thursday and Friday extreme heat and humidity...call you say 100s.

Busy Bee

Today: the heat wave still going strong (day numero 4 for us) And yes it will be hot hot hot, for sure a bit humid out there...high temp of 95 and low of 72. We'll see some clouds out there, hazy as well.  Elevated ozone out there again today..so take it easy! Drink lots of WATER! ;)
Tomorrow: heat wave still continues...not breaking until the end of the weekend.

Also there is a tropical storm out there..not going to make landfall so it will stay out in the Atlantic, maybe we'll get some waves? I forget what the waves look like, I haven't been to the beach all summer! And went once last summer! Must get down there.

Had to work the EARLY shift of Saturday...got a early start to my day...but it ended early as well....I woke up to dinner time, good thing it was a BBQ so def worth getting out of bed.

AND omg I am making a cook book! I save all the recipes from my favorite magazines (Women's World is my fav...no joke) and am putting them all together and hopefully this will keep me eating healthy?! How great is thatttt! I worked on it for hours..totally lost track of time too...maybe it was with a little help of my dunkin hazelnut coffee :)

Got the exact dress Kristin Cavallari wore...3 dresses left, only one in my size! PERFECT!

And perfect weather today: Sunny and 85 degrees, but completely dry with no humidity! Tonight might wanna throw that sweater in your bag low temp down to 64, chilllllly but grab the marshmallows, chocolate and gramcrackers...great weather for a weather pit :)

So this High Pressure in effect today is great textbook material in teaching the rotation. 
Fact: high pressure has clockwise flow...
Today and tomorrow we get a northerly wind b/c the High is set up in Michigan, this weekend the High slides of the coast of the Carolina thus we get a southerly wind!

Today staying in the 90s with about 92 degrees under mostly sunny skies, maybe a few clouds and a sprinkle?? (but not like grass watering enough)

Today: HOT! High temperature of 98 degrees today...record set back in 1966: 98...so record heat, but when you add in the humidity it will feel just so sticky/steamy/you fill in the blnk.  Lots of sun over head if you can see it through the thick hazy air, but def a tanning day...UV index at a 9 (out of 11).

Yesterday, went to a summer camp to teach 1st-5th graders about the weather. I made little "summer weather survival kit" booklets for them to complete and we also made the days forecast. Only did 2 little "labs" with them....making thunder & electricity.  The balloons were a hit, thankfully there weren't any latex allergies LOL

Does It Get Any Better?

Today is going to be a perfect July day! High temp of 88, drops down only to 70 tonight.  We'll have complete sunshine and lower humidity today.  Definitely going to tan OUTSIDE today...of course I will have some sunscreen on.  And bbq, I think so!

I love Victoria's Secret products! They smell fruity too!!! (not the "are you wearing sunless tanner??" kinda smell) Each one has a different purpose...check them out!

A late wake up (8:00 am) means running later on the treadmill...guess I'll have to run and watch Hungry Girl insteadddd of my news. "oh well"

Ups & Downs

Yesterday I went into work...let me tell you it was BUSYYYY.  99% of the state covered in some sort of rainy weather for at least 4 hours or so: storms, flash flooding, hail, winds, tornado warning, lightning, etc.
So when its rainy in the city, everyone takes the subway...late subway train = jam packed = missed my nj transit train, so I waited for a good half hour to catch the next one.  Here's the upside of that....I got to watch everyone walk by in such cute outfits!
Here's today's look modeled after someone I saw yesterday:

I LOVE this look, I might have to go out and buy a blue banded skirt.

I'm also so excited to share the forecast for the next couple of days including next week!!!! "drum roll please..."
Today: Sunshine, high of 92 feelin even hotter with humidity and a light wind...clear skies tonight dropping down to 65
Tomorrow low humidity and hot, added in humidity for the next days after that as well as a slight rain chance for Tuesday then nothing but dry & sunshine :)

Ramble of the Day:
So over crackberry, my battery dies within five seconds (honestly this is not a joke) I think its time to jump ship...iphone here I come!

Stop, rewind...

So today's actually kinda similar to yesterday.  Mostly sunny with some afternoon clouds and a slight chance for a shower. High of 92 low of  70, yesterday we hit 95 degrees (doesn't compare to the record of 103 we hit yesterday) And it's def gonna be humid out.  But we will definitely have the showers tomorrow...just a gray day on Friday really.

So for today, I AM going to workout outside today at 6..only a light workout b/c I know the clouds are going to be floating on in, and they'll stick around for a bit.  But what could be better than a post workout "make your own" frozen yogurt with fruit! "Hello 10 dollar bill for the pay by ounce dessert, love frozen yogurt addict."

Holy Ozone!

So for today we have hazy, hot and humid plus a light wind. All of these factors equal up to elevated ozone levels, (simple math) which are unhealthy to breathe in.  So today's workout...take it to the gym or just go easy.
Other than that look for mostly sunny skies, maybe some clouds during the day, high of 93 and low of 73 degrees.  There could be a chance of a shower or storm..they might be all south or to the west...but these should be quick movers.  The best bet to see the wet weather will be tomorrow and friday.  Buttttttt....the weekend is looking good, so far!

btw...dinner yesterday was that breaking news new smoothie accompanied with some really yummy baked cheddar crisps...like a combo of doritos and cheez itz YUMMM!

So yesterday didn't have time to update...working all day trying to give you perfect fireworks weather. And mission accomplished.  By far my most exciting July 4th :)

Today: my ohh my could not ask for better weather! We will rise to 90 degrees and might even spike a bit above that under complete sunshine anddd to add to that beautiful combination there will be no humidity. What's better than that??? okayyy maybe an endless bowl of ice cream.

If you are tanning today make sure you put on SOME amount of spf sunblock b/c the UV index is very high today...at a 9 boardline 10 out of a scale of 12...sooo YEA extreme sun!! wooohooo!

A new smoothie has been discovered...
1 cup of blueberry green tea (chilled)
1 banana
A handfull of blueberries
Some milk (mine is lactose free)
***Combine the tea, banana, and blueberries into the magic bullet, then add milk until 3/4 full & then blend to perfection!

UNinvited!

hahaha...all I can do is laugh after yesterdays 911 emergency (yes, someone showing up to your door uninvited is a 911 situation) But too make it better I promised to go out later with him...just to let him down easier (hopefully karma doesn't get me on this one) Red Mango defffff helped make the situation 10xs better!! Guess what I got?!? original with strawberries, blueberries and coconut??? WRONG! Coconut, Chocolate/Vanilla Twist withhhh strawberries, blueberries and coconut...it was great! You can't go to a self serve and ONLY get 1 flavor...that's just not acceptable.

Another thing that is uninvited is this rain! Def woke me up at 3am with lightning/thunder and heavy rain! I think the rain will stick around until noon, then just a sprinkley/mist type stuff for the rest of the day...rain should clear up for tonight though...so not the best day to have an outdoor party, but the bbq meat, etc. can go on the grill...so not completely ruined.
High temp of 84 today, dropping down to a mild 70...with the clouds out there as well as some wet weather....
....on the up swing for the 4th of July! Since the rain arrived earlier than expected, it clears out earlier leaving a great bbqing day for the 4th!

Hot or NOT

Today is going to be hot! Temperature near 90 under a mostly sunny sky, maybe a few clouds in the late afternoon.
Recommendation: Go outside and use up all the sun and heat out there, tomorrow is going to be different...chance of rain and clouds...
....also if I don't answer your text/phone calls DO NOT show up at my house.

Blank Radar?!

A great morning for us waking up at 7am....I totally had my coffee on the deck this morning (a bit chilly though).  Morning workout...check.  Shower time, then into the city...of course to work.  I think it's slightly unfair that I tell people to go outside and enjoy the weather while I have to be locked up in a office looking at a blank radar...oh well! Enjoy!
